On the last day of 2024, Stern Pinball teases its latest Cornerstone – Dungeons & Dragons – The Tyrant’s Eye

To celebrate 50 years of the world’s favourite role-playing game, Stern Pinball machines will take you on an epic and exciting journey. You will dive deep into the Forgotten Realms and face iconic enemies such as a red dragon, the Gelatinous Cube, a Mimic, Sammaster the Lich, Xanathar the Beholder and the Owlbear. You will explore well-known locations from Faerûn such as Arabel and Westgate.

The DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Tyrant’s Eye Pinball series is available in Pro, Premium and Limited Edition (LE) versions. You can expect impressive illustrations by renowned artist Vincent Proce, an epic soundtrack by world-famous composer Cris Velasco and a high-calibre voice cast, including Michael Dorn, Kevin Smith, Luke Gygax, Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey and many more.

In the game itself, you become part of the Dragonshield Guild. Your mission: to defeat the dragon queen Tiamat, who is planning her return and thus triggering the War of Dragons. At the same time, Xanathar, Balinor and Sammaster fight for supremacy. A vibrant fantasy world unfolds under the glass, combining classic pinball gameplay with the D&D universe in a completely new way.

An absolute highlight is the battle against Rath the Relentless – a red dragon and one of the most advanced animatronic mechs ever built into a pinball machine. It reacts intelligently to your actions, moves in several directions and has highly developed hit recognition. Voiced by Michael Dorn, you have to defeat him with targeted shots and hits on the 3-bank target and steal his treasure. But be careful: when Rath breathes fire, he shoots several bullets at you at the same time! With an activatable metal shield between the flippers, you can defend yourself and make strategic moves at the same time.

Numerous mysterious features also await you: discover hidden passages, experience the electromagnetic gelatine cube that freezes the sphere and explore dynamic dungeon levels that open through a disappearing trapdoor. In Fizmo’s shop you can acquire special items, while a treasure chest unleashes mimic monsters. Secrets are waiting to be discovered everywhere.

A special element of the game is the random factor: roll your fate! Your decisions and hits determine the course of your campaign and lead to different story endings. Each run is unique – from characters and items to weekly challenges. After completing the campaign, you unlock additional content and expand your adventure.
